Science in Islam

I really enjoyed working on this project. It was a wonderful learning curve and an opportunity to share how early Islamic scientists, from the 7th century onwards picked up where classical knowledge left off.

It is said that history is written by the winners, or at least the current dominant culture. This project was a wonderful opportunity to illustrate the enormous contributions to science by early Islamic chemists, astronomers and mathematicians. Although these videos are simple in their approach, they show how these great minds developed solutions to some of the greatest challenges of the day, from navigation to engineering and irrigation, from chemistry to medicine.
